Name origin"In July, 1925, this mountain was named by The Mountaineers for George E. Wright of Seattle, a member of their group, an attorney, and conservationist. (USBGN) Mr. Wright died on October 9, 1923. In writing of his contributions Edmond S. Meany noted that '...among the many valuable services he had rendered for the club were his plans, contributions and physical labor for trails and other improvements around Snoqualmie Lodge.'"
