Monahan Mountain

We enjoyed the diversity of evergreens trees on our route. We encountered Yew, Ponderosa Pine, White Pine, Lodgepole Pine, Western Red Cedar, Doug Fir, Grand Fir, and Silver Fir.

Our route
Our trail head was a logging road off of Cabin Creek Road
We followed a logging road until we turned SW and started ascending a forested slope
Lindsay under one of the many yew trees we encountered on Monahan's NE slope
On the summit. Lindsay is the queen of Monahan Mountain!
It is late May, below 3,500', and it is snowing.
We had dynamic weather.
Nine minutes later it is sunny.
Cabin Mountain. This was our original destination for today, but we couldn't find a bridge over the Yakima River.
